Over the years, we have collected a number of photos of the band whilst performing - usually thanks to Gill (Bimal's better half!) as well as friends in the audiences. From this page, you can have a look at the latest pictures, as well as take a look back over the past years of pictures that we have. There are also some decidedly dodgy old pictures in the archive, but the less said about those, the better! If you'd like to see the "official" photos of Kay and John's baby boy Mathew, who was born on 17th August 2007, click here! If you want to see the Archive of older pictures (including a "new" old one of Bimal from his days with "Torch" and an even older one of Kay from her days with "Change of Heart"!), that is still available here. For a page of really old "Beyond Words" pictures, taken in 2002 and 2003, you need to check out the "Ancient Band History" page! ;-) |
We returned to the Stockingford AA Pavilion Club for the first of two 2012 gigs on Saturday 31st March, and were greeted by a fantastically enthusiastic crowd who seemed to love every minute of what we played! Even after 5 encores, the crowd still wanted more, which we did play - we were delighted with the wonderful reception and we're looking forward to seeing you all again at the beginning of August! Many thanks for a brilliant evening!
We returned to Pelsall Social Club for the first time in a couple of years on Saturday 24th March, and were greeted once again with an enthusiastic crowd, who were clearly enjoying the songs that we played. Sadly, Kay's throat was giving her some severe problems, so John and Bimal stepped up to the plate and performed more numbers than were originally planned, but these seemed popular as well, and it seems that everyone had a very enjoyable evening. We'll look forward to seeing you all again in 2013!
We were honoured and delighted to be asked to play at Janet & Pete's Ruby Wedding Anniversary on Saturday 10th March, which took place in the Ramada Hotel in Oldbury. The evening had a 70s theme, so we got involved with a change to our normal stagewear, as you can see below. We had a fantastic time and we think all of Janet & Pete's guests enjoyed themselves too - we know that Janet & Pete did because they told us! Many congratulations to you both!
We returned to Cradley Heath Liberal Club for the first time since our Boxing Day 2011 gig on Saurday 3rd March, and the room was packed. We got a great reception as always, and we also unleashed a few new songs, which seemed to go down really well. Thanks once again for the excellent reception and we'll look forward to seeing you all again in August with yet more new songs! We played our first gig of the year for Quarry Bank Labour Club on Saturday 25th February, and were once again greeted by a packed and enthusiastic crowd. The material went down well once again - and we were also able to play some requests, as well as perform several encores. Thanks to Trevor and the punters for the wonderful welcome - and we'll see you all again in July!
We played yet another debut gig on Saturday 18th February at the Far Forest Village Hall, where we entertained the attendants at the local camping and caravan club. The response blew us all away - the enthusiasm and the enjoyment was wonderful to be a part of. The choice of songs clearly suited the audience down to the ground! Thank you so much for your amazing reception, and we'll look forward to seeing you again in the future! Also, check out the WMDA photos: we think they're great! We played another debut gig on Saturday 11th February, this time at The Fiddlers Arms public house. The material was favourably received by the punters, and we managed to get through the whole gig without tripping out the power more than once! Thanks for the welcome and we'll see you again in August!
We played our debut gig at Amblecote Royal British Legion Club on Wednesday 8th February in their special Valentine's celebration - the club was packed, and the punters danced all night long to the excellent disco and ourselves! We were delighted with the fantastic reception to our choice of songs, and the yells for "More!" at the end of our set! Many thanks to you all, and we'll see you all again in September! We played our first gig of the year for Cannock Social Working Mens Club on Saturday 4th February, despite the heavy snow fall and travelling difficulties! We received a warm welcome - all the more appreciated in view of the cold weather - and the material went down very well, especially the heavier rock tracks. We'll be back in August, and we will play you "Bring Me To Life"! Many thanks for the great welcome! We returned to Kingswinford Royal British Legion Club on Saturday 28th January for the first time since our gig there in 2009! Never the less, we got a fantastic reception with the dance floor filling up virtually from the very start, and continuing that way through most of the evening! The selection of songs was very well received, and we were inundated by requests for more at the end, which we happily fulfilled! Thank you all for a most enjoyable evening, and we'll hope to see you again in less than three years! We were delighted and honoured to be chosen to open the 2012 gig season for the Forty Four Club on Saturday 21st January, and we were greeted by a packed club - with standing room only! We played all of the usual favourites, as well as a selection of new material, along with our ever-increasing light and laser show! The combination seemed to tick all of the right boxes and in the second half, the dance floor was packed for virtually the whole time! Many thanks to you all for a fantastic welcome, and the wonderful compliments we received after the show! We'll look forward to seeing you again in the future and Gill's photos convey the beauty of the lights and lasers really well! We returned to the Jubilee Working Mens Club, in association with Diamond Entertainments, on Saturday 14th January, and were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd of punters, who were clearly enjoying the songs we presented. Unfortunately, John wasn't feeling 100%, but we still managed to get the dance floor busy, and by the end of the night, there were plenty of yells for more - even to the extent of Kay singing a Christmas song! Thanks for the great welcome, and we'll hope to see you all again soon! Our gigging year started with a bang as we returned to one of our regular haunts, Dudley ExServicemen's Club, on Saturday 7th January. This club has been supporting us over very many years, which is most appreciated, and the welcome we received was once again wonderful, despite Bimal having a few problems with his guitar! The new songs went down a treat, and the old favourites kept the dance floor busy! We'll look forward to seeing you all again in the not-too-distant future!
